Might sound a stupid question, but despite having both I have never idea if they have their own dedicated servers or just servers anyone can join?

I only ask this question because I was on CdKeys website browsing and was about to buy a game then I notice rainbow 6 siege normal game is £12.90  which is very tempting seeing how much the disk version is, I do need to get a graphics card to play anything beyond Intel capability lol, but I'm curious about how many players are still on this and whether it's better to get through Uplay or steam(which I have but barely use).

I own an offline version I was testing, but boring as its only training ha.

Depends on the game, some have dedicated hosting, some by players themselves, others by steam - normally if it's a Valve game. Changes depending on the title.

If you look at the information on the steam version, it states that a uplay account is required so you might be better off just having it on the uplay platform.
