I predict a Riot

3 a.m. rolling news channel this morning was showing the Greeks ramping up for a riot. The ‘austere’ measures are not to their liking especially as more job cuts come into play with some Greek politicians also on the job chopping board.

Wait until the news on the TV then..

I predict headline story will be the death of yet another druggy who just happened to have an amazing voice.

This will be far more damaging to the world as a whole than her!

Can you imagine the mess it would be over here if Ron Paul got elected and he got rid of income tax like hes saying in his manifest. If the gov arn't bringing in tax money they have to borrow. The greeks have had it easy, now they are paying the piper.
Whatever solution they agree on, someones gonna lose out.

Greeks shouting "thieves, thieves, thieves" outside parliament.
I wonder if this gets reported on the mainstream Propaganda machines.. Err sorry I mean "media" stations

It does and they also report that communists, anarchists, lazy bums, trouble makers and citizens are usually part of such crowds.

Ok have one with a TV link as well:-

Edit: Do you even watch/read the news?

Well of course you can pick articles.
What I'm saying is it isn't the main headline and it bloody well should be.

To use your sky link.. How about the "World News" main page then..

Oh look, first story in the header and then again in the Main Editors pick.

Had to scroll down to find Athens story.

making ordinary people pay for the mistakes of rich bankers is pretty much theft

How is it the bankers fault that Greece as a country borrowed far too much money from a whole variety of people due to the flaws of the politically driven Eurozone?

Try to avoid talking if you have no idea of the situation. Especially if all you can come up with is "BANKERS ARE EVIL!".

I do find it hilarious how the people didn't seem to care that the government were accruing such massive debt by running with a huge deficit for public spending whilst it wasn't "a problem".

I mean what do they expect the government to do about it now? Obviously I'm not saying the government was not at fault to begin with but still, protesting now isn't going to allow them to magically fix things.

Rubbish.

It’s nothing to do with rich bankers but to do with the country living way beyond its means for decades. Then a decade of huge government borrowing and spending has brought the country to the precipice of bankruptcy. They are all to blame.

Lets face it though, if you bring in a new currency, set certain economic standards that anyone who wants to join must meet. Then not bat an eyelid when countries fiddle the figures so they can join, your asking for problems.
