i put another 512 DDR2 stick in and ????????

i decided to get another stick of 512 DDR 2 ram so it would run games smoother , it seems that the computer restarts a lot soon as its booted in to windows or if i go to launch any Dx9 game , bios says i have a gig and the speed is set to 533mhz in bios , what can the prob be ?

both ram sticks are exactly the same , 533mhz
no havent run memtest ,

dimm 1
and
dimm 2
but ive tried a lot of combinations ,
if i try memtest does that test end or is it ever going ,

what set them to diferent speeds even tho there 533mhz?

in bios it says

4-4-4-12 1T

i really dont know what i am doing with this memory stuff
ive now set them it to
DDR 400 and

127 ns for dimm1
127 ns for dimm2

if that makes any sense
