...but I have just purchased 32gb DDR4 Corsair Vengeance Blue LED 3200mhz for gaming.
My question is, will that future proof me for a while, and is the speed fast enough?

Easily. I generally only upgrade ram with a full rebuild.
But the time that ram is not enough you'll want a new cpu, gpu anyway.

Build in my sig, 16gb 3000mhz seemed plenty so I don't intend upgrading for the life of the build, which will be 5 years at least.

32gb is loads for gaming currently, arguably overkill.

Still running 16gb DDR3 here, no issues! RAM has a better life expectancy than a GPU so you'll be fine

It'll last you easily until you upgrade to ddr5 whenever that hits the market.

Still using ddr3 myself that I've had for 4 years.

Thanks for the input guys. I now have it installed and it runs great. I will stick with it until DDR5.
