Let me first explain my problem.
Downstairs in the living room I have a Netgear DG834GT modem router.
I also have a laptop & have a USB wireless adaptor (WG111T) connected to the laptop with no problems using Windows XP.
Now, upstairs I have a desktop PC running Vista 64 bit & am using the same wireless adaptor (WG111T) with the lastest 64 bit driver installed from the Netgear website.
The problem lies with the desktop PC as when it's booted up it connects to the internet with no problems but intermittantly keeps losing the connection as it then says "USB device not recognized" & I have to unplug the adaptor then plug it back in to get my connection back.
It mainly happens when I am downloading a file.
I know range isn't an issue because I have used my laptop upstairs as well without any problems.
Has anyone any ideas what could be causing this?
Thanks.
