I REALLY need an online FPS

At the risk of mentioning a different game, I'll give a shoutout to Planetside (As lets face it, it needs it!)
One of only two MMOFPSs, it has a steep learning curve, but is still great fun after all these years, despite what Sony have inflicted on it. Yes, it has a monthly sub, but personally its worth it, as no other FPS at the moment has a persistent world where people are constantly fighting for territory.

DOD : Source, lots of newbies as just been on offer on steam. A selection of hardcore members, but most long term players have left as steam let DOD go stale. New update has made it nice thou :)

Ummm... well I went and bought BF2, however every time i try to join a game after a few mins it kicks me stating something about punkbuster and not having enough packets???
I don't know what to do... Help please.

download pbsetup

also, dontf forget the 1.41 patch

also download the new map, forgot what its called though, its a tank map!

also, enable pnkbstrA.exe and pnkbstrB.exe in your anti-virus

I can't say I notice many cheaters on CS:S. You'll find loads on 1.6 though. Well if there are loads of cheaters, they suck :p

Every time i play CS:S there are cheaters on, put me off cs for a while.

to the op, buy CS:S and BF2.

I bought BF2, never managed to get into the servers, the game seems to have problems with left handed people especially if you like to use the number pad!

Have any of you read his post before replying? He is not running TF2 on that spec, and I wouldn't want to try CSS either.

CS 1.6? Day of defeat?

You sure? I can manage HL2, portal (barely) and HL2 mods on my 1.7ghz go5650 128Mb graphics with 1Gb ram, on min specs. His should at least play it at a normal resolution.

Also, Dystopia. An awsome HL2 mod, objective based like the UT assault maps, and TF2 style classes. And its free! Takes a while to learn, as it helps to learn the maps so you know where to go, but its not too hard, and the communities are all friendly as well.
