I seek a 4K monitor...

I was looking at 4K monitors in the $500-$1000 Canadian dollars (So about 20.00 GBP) :P and I noticed that Samsung has a QLED TN 4K monitor at a reasonable price (27"). It has mixed reviews. I would really like a sexy VA or PLS or IPS quantum dot display, 4K, reasonable response time. 60Hz is ok. Ideally with 2HDMI and 1DP or 3HDMI.

Does such a beast exist?

Yup same here.

Asus are releasing a good one in Q3 (ROG Swift PG27UQ) 144Hz, HDR, G-Sync etc from what I have heard and read online. But heard it could cost as much as $3000?!
Tempted to buy a cheap 4k now without G-Sync (probably get PB287Q) and then get the ROG Swift PG27UQ (not paying 3k though)

Ah!!! That's way too much!

It's annoying, as in game I'm quite happy with 1440p (but would like g-sync), whereas I've become so used to 4k at work now that at home my 1440p desktop seems horrible :(

Yeah originally they said $1100 - still steep but if its good then maybe worth it..? but then removed that from the announcement and I forgot where I saw it, someone said maybe as much as $3000.

I really dont know what to get. Ordered the ASUS ROG GTX1080 TI POSEIDON today and want a good monitor for it. Will be happy to spend up to £1000 for a nice UHD G-Sync monitor. But there is nothing that I can find. Except a ASUS PG27AQ, 4 years old now. Plus cant find anywhere that has stock. :(

perhaps I should just buy something and then next week all the new kit will come out :rolleyes::p Think im going for MG28UQ... for now. Im sure it will be good enough to keep my amused for a year or 2.

Yeah I couldn't agree more, especially at the moment there has been a bit of a slowdown in new tech monitors. Hopefully this year Acer and Asus will release there 4k gaming monitors and kick start the race again. There is way ore choice for freesync than Nvidia also :-(

Thanks, it arrives today! I cannot wait! Currently have a 2gb GTX680 and its so outdated now.
