I seem to have Bugs

ok, well I thought I would have a go at a couple of flying insects.

these were taken on a dynax 7d using a sigma 70-210 lens.

Couldnt tell you at what MM I was at the time to be honest.

I havent done anything to the pics at all, other than a little crop to reduce some of the soroundings

any suggestions always welcome

How the eff do you get so close to the bugs without them scarpering!

Is this how everyone does it? With a zoom lens?
And here I thought you got within inches of the bugs with a macro lens!

the hovering ...watever it is wasp i think, i was about 8 foot away from, the others i was about 5-6 ish foot away from it.

but yeah using zoom lens.

The was a wonderfull one of a wasp hovering side on to me, just as i clicked the take the pic button, it moved, and pic was all blurry, most disapointed lol
