As much as I don’t like the login for GE it’s still pretty decent

I've not used GE for some time, two years plus, as it would randomly wake up my HDs scanning for software. Does it still do this?

So... don't use it? Once I figured out you can easily unpack the drivers and remove all the garbage before installing it life became much easier.

Maybe I'm showing my age here but since when was upgrading gfx drivers such a headache that people need an app to do it [I'm aware GE does more than that but it's been cited a couple of times as a reason for using it]? Just seems like a massive bloat for that purpose, it's only half a dozen clicks to download drivers manually and that includes loading the bookmark. Probably explains why the driver pack is so ludicrously big these days (630MB wth... that's basically a full CDROM!)
