I seriously need some help - new rig not running well

I have just built my new rig as per the spec in my sig. Everything was going fine for the first 2 days and then it started freezing and just generally running slow, MP3 files do not even play without pauses every few seconds.

So I did some homework and found newer raid drivers for my motherboard and did a reinstall on Monday night. Everything seemed to be fixed and I have been playing Crisis all week (nearly finished it!). Tonight I started getting the same problems - freezing and stuttering etc.
When playing MP3s or loading up Crysis I get what I can only describe as audio and video looping.

What am I doing wrong here? I have boughtgood quality components and taken my time to assemble and install them correctly, and I don't even overclock!

This is not my first build however it is my first C2Q system.

Please can someone offer some advice as to why my system only works for 2-3 days before it falls over?

Thanks

Thanks for your response, I already ran chkdsk but it didn't show any errors.

I have just installed the Intel Storage Manager software and the problem seems to be better.
When I visited Intel's website there were 2 files available - iata86enu (1 of 2) and iata86cd (2 of 2). I have installed the first file but the second one is much bigger can anyone tell me what the iata86cd file actually installs before I run it because it gives a warning that it cannot be uninstalled.

You want the IATA85ENU_IMSM file, 6.74mb.

The bigger one is the same file but with full selection of languages iirc.
Did you install the intel raid drivers before/during OS installation? Made sure to install the chipset drivers as well?

In regards to system freezing, have you checked all the BIOS settings are correct?

Thanks for this info, exactly what I wanted to know.

I have checked the bios settings and they are correct as far as I know - I notice your motherboard is similar to mine. Do you have any specific suggestions?
