...What I meant to say is I smashed the screen when it fell out my pocket and would like your help because I'm wanting to know where/how I can get this fixed. I dont mind paying, just need to know how?

Thanks in advance,

P.S. I bought the Ipod from Dixons in Leeds with no insurance, or atleast I dont believe I have insurance? unless they autoamtically gave me it? I have the receipt still and I bought it 3 months ago, its the Ipod Nano 2gig £140.

Well I need to know how and if I can? Like how would I go about sending it back to them, can I email them to ask them and if so does anybody have an email address?

Cheers in advance,

Well if you bought it with a credit card it might actually be covered. If you have household contents insurance it might be worth checking that as well as you may be covered via that.

If all else fails you could just try and apple RMA, yes in reality you shouldnt as its not a manufacturing/design defect but I have heard of others who have gotten away with it in the past. Beware of this though as you might end up not only having to get a new ipod anyway, but if apple query it you may then have to pay an admin fee and possibly shipping as well.

I dont mind paying for it fixing, it cost me £140, so I'd be willing to pay upto £50 for it fixing, but how can I contact apple? I need to speak to their customer services.

Cheers in advance,

I did look on the website first before posting, but am not good at finding the information I need, and I find their website complicated.

Thanks for the help,

You don't say where it got damaged but if it happened at home then you may be able to claim on your house insurance, for example it may have fallen out of your pocket whilst running downstairs. You'll have to pay any applicable excess but that's likely to be £50 or under.

Aye, just tell a 'white lie' as to how it broke, you might get away with it. My friend sent off an iPod photo after actually microwaving it and got a nice video iPod in return, god knows why or how.
