I simply require a good clocking 775 board.

That mobo you linked, has to be one of the best budget overclockers out there for S775 imho, a mate has one, and comfortably hits 500fsb.

Will it be better then P43, yes and no really, general rule of thumb is the newer the chipset is useually better, if the P43's are around the same price as that asus one, then to me the asus wins.

Just noticed the 24 pin location.

I think it could reach. Depends how I route it.

So, worth a buy before the new year? :P

Would be if it was in stock, unless ur getting from elsewhere, any of the P5Q range are good, that linked one being the lowest specced one, the others i think have a better placing for the 24pin too.

I do have brand preference for Gigabyte. I'll get my funds together and get the Gigabyte.

You saw the PWM looks weak. Could you tell me more? I don't know much about it but is it those capacitors, chokes and mosfets around the CPU socket?

The Gigabyte website sure does advertise it as a better clocker, anyway.

The ASUS P5Q PRO Turbo with its dual PCI-e/ICH10R was looking very tasty at £80 but now it's £95 :(

If you're going to be paying that much for what is really last year's tech then get the P5Q Deluxe, it should give you the most potential and bang out of your socket 775

p5q deluxe, thest 775 board we sell at the moment

i had one and it never skipped a beat, i wouldnt hesitate

Sorry for the late reply, thanks for the suggestions, guys, I'll take all into consideration. I'll have to buy after my exams, I'm a bit busy at the moment :(
