I laughed, I cried. Fantastic film about a fantastic bloke. I was aware of John's not mad from years ago and saw the original docs. You end up feeling like you could bump into him in the street and it'd be like bumping in to your mate, where you know him so well. I had to smile at the casting, I always feel like these biopic sort of films always cast better looking people into the roles. I'd be chuffed if I was him

I kinda thought afterwards that they could have made more of his efforts to educate people, leading to his MBE.

I know they were setting the scene and showing the troubles he constantly had, and I just wish they had more strongly emphasised, the positive impact he has had on others.

One of the movies of the year for me.
