I think I am a console convert...

Not yet had the 360 a week, but am really enjoying it. I just get so tired of sitting behind the PC, cause I do that all day at work, and while I am just staring at another screen... well, it just doesn't feel like sitting at work :)

I have yet to try a first person shooter (Though I did have a brief go at the suffering in first person, and was quite hard to control - cool game though), but am enjoying the change by getting away from fps games. Is pretty much all I have played for ages.

It looks great on my new 37" HD tele, after initially thinking it did not look great on my od 28" SD tele.

Hell, even the dated graphics of the original Xbox games does not bother me, whereas for some reason on the PC, I always feel the need to crank everything up...

If after another week or so I am finding I am not getting bored with the console, think I will be downgrading my pc and using it simply for things other than games. Though I really do need to try an FPS first....

Whats a good FPS that won't be too expensive now? Spent a hell of a lot on games in the last few days! Something not too old if possible...

Anyway, so I guess I am saying I have seen the light - consoles aren't all that bad :)

Played R6:Vegas on PC... While not a big fan of WWII games, I might give COD2 a try.

How about Halo? Has the game aged well? Never played any of the Halo games.

Edit: hate it when am slow to type and more replies come up :)

Anyway, played on PC:
COD4
Bioshock
R6:Vegas
Prey
GRAW
GRAW 2

I have GOW coming this week, though I believe its third person?

Im a console convert too!! The PC was totally boring, I thaught Y the **** do I keeop playing the same FPS, the same map with muppets on teamspeak I dont even like anymore. So I sold all my games & bought a ps3!, im loving it!

Cool :D

Now I just need to keep myself from buying a PS3 too. Its almost fustified when I think of the price of HD players... however, I was not going to buy an HD player based on prices.... so really, I shouldn't get one.... but maybe

Perhaps if I am still enjoying consoles at the end of year will get one for Xmas :D

Lets just say, they both have their strengths :D

While I may downgrade my PC a bit, I don't think I could completely drop it as a gaming platform. I might stick my e4300 back in and sell my Q6600, and may drop to a 3850 Pro, but there are still things I want to play on the PC, so don't think I will ever say goodbye to it.

I just think I might be spending a bit more time on the console for a while. I am sick to death of computers, and while the 360 is a computer in disguise, its a very good disguise, and I can use it from the sofa :D

That, combined with my renewed interest in reading may mean I may grow to enjoy my PC again some day. Right now though, just need a break from it - have not turned on my PC in two days :)

Played GOW last night... pretty cool! I know I could have got it for PC, but this was always THE game to get a 360 for originally, so just went for it.

It looks better than I thought it would. I set the 360 to run 720p, rather than 1080p as noticed some slow-down, but 720p looks brill, so not complaining. Is there a difference performance-wise between 1080i and 1080p? I imagine not, but thought would ask.

I am struggling with the aiming on the rigth analogue stick... why did they never introduce a tackball of some sort on the controllers? I think that would solve all aiming problems...

Am loving the game though. Got told off for having it too loud :D
