I have decided to sell my Asus 5870s & go for 1 GTX480 or 2 GTX 470s.

I just hope im making the right decision!

I`m sick of crossfire scalling issues.

1 5870 is great, 2 not so great all the time.

ok, shame about the price drop on new 5870's though, you drew your conclusion about a week too late

^ analytically the 485 isn't happening, never will

get dual 470's, might as well get the extra performance

Unless water-cooling the 470's, I'd go for two Gigabyte 460 1GB OC myself.

I was looking at the requirements for Mafia 2, not that it particulary interests me, but I noticed the physx requiremnts are very steep.

To max the game out you need:

Video Cards and resolution: APEX High settings

* Minimum: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 (or better) and a dedicated NVIDIA 9800GTX (or better) for PhysX
* Recommended: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 for Graphics and a dedicated NVIDIA GTX 285 (or better) for PhysX NVIDIA GPU driver: 197.13 or later.
* NVIDIA PhysX driver: 10.04.02_9.10.0522. Included and automatically installed with the game.

I'm interested in getting another 5870 for xfire, can u let me know what games u r seeing scaling issues in and any other problems that might put me off? Cheers
