Apologies for what will no doubt appear to be a daft question, but having read and re-read the subject have got myself confused.
I have a wifi blackspot to the rear of my house and would like to improve this. I have 2 SSIDs - the main one and a guest one which does not give access to my LAN. I need to continue with this setup. I have cat5e cabling around the house so I was thinking that an Access Point would be a better solution rather than a Range Extender. Am I on the right lines here - and is it specifically an Access Point I need or could I add another router to my network (current router is Asus RT N66U.
Any guidance will be welcome.
