I think im about to kill it...

Careful, the frame sounds like it for keeping the HSF from crushing the core. Make sure you have the screws evenly done up.

Have you removed the old TIM cleaned the surfaces and applied new TIM ? That's still hotter that it should be.
 
yep, old TIM is history. I made sure it was level, but with the scrwes as tigh as they'll go, there is still some wobble room so i dont think its overtight (ive been playing a few games for a bit and nothings gone pop ... yet). Still not had a reply off the seller, i think ill wait to see what i get there first.

edit: sod it, a sapphire one has popped up on the MM at a decent price. Ill just ebay this one or something :/
