Okay, to make the long story short, im just suspicious that i may be getting hacked, are there any programs that i could use to check this?, i've tried a rootkit scan with AVG and Kaspersky but nothing.

Virus Scanners
Spyware/Adware Cleaners

Other than that there isn't much left. What makes you think you are being Hacked?

what OS are you using ?

what Firewall ?

does your OS have all the relevant updates

who uses the pc apart from yourself ?

you say your internet “is going all funny” in what way ?

"threatened" is kinda ambigious.... how exactly?
Also, knowing someone's ip address isn't too difficult, however, it is illegal to knowingly break into someone's wireless network, with intention to cause malice. granted its pretty easy to do if you know how, but then, so is picking a lock. Are you in a network in the first place?
If you are networked wirelessly especially, the onus is on you to report any suspicious activity. It might help abit to change passwords, etc, but really, its a lost cause if someone is serious about hacking in.

Are you on a static IP address?

If not, just turn the router off (Hard reset) to obtain a new IP address from your ISP.

Failing that, could you not check the logs of the firewall you have? If not, get a decent firewall :p

You really are going to have to tell us the whole story before we can help you. It may not be anything malicious at all.

If Wireless is it even locked down. I just had to do my friends wireless box this weekend as it was completely unsecured. I generated him a random password not based on Dictionary Words, and whilst he bitched that would never remember it does make it slightly more awkward for someone to hack.

He believed that it was secured till I jumped straight on with my iPhone and laptop, no password or anything.
