At the moment its downloading at 0.0kbs

Can i just go grab it from a site somewhere else and if so anyone got a link?

it's a PITA on steam too, because the way steam patching works (file replacement, not 'patching') you have to get a huge file each time

relic make good games, but their patches are horrendous

Open up COH says i must download a new patch.

Sit there looking at the download bar do nothing.

Alt tab out and see the relic download P2P thing up in the corner.

That does nothing too.

I get angry

I part hate and part love what relic do with CoH. Updates are nice and the extra maps and stuff too, but the sheer ammount of patching required for this game is becoming ridiculous, they treat it like an MMO, then you get things like relic downloader getting in the way of things now, why ditch the sort of working direct download ?

Tried Gamer's Hell? They've normally got official patches up fairly quickly.

if you go to the relic website there are links to torrents you can download using utorrent instead of the pap ingame downloader

Its up there but the torrent does not work.

Well by does not work as in it just want connect to any seeds at all :confused:

Finally its on its way now.

I hate torrent. Port fording on vista is a pain in the arse so im stuck at under 30kb/s!

im on vista x64 and get my full download speed of 230 k/bs.

Maybe enable upnp on your router, maybe need to do some port forwarding?

port forwarding is the same in vista as xp

maybe try enabling upnp in the router and utorrent if you're having problems

Why is port forwarding a pain in vista can you just not temp disable firewall in vista and config router? or am i totaly wrong .

I dont kn ow why, i just find all the bloody static ips and crap you have to change on vista an arse

So i CBA and always end up doing something else

I found on my XP computer i belted through it in no time to forward it.
Juyst glad i dont download with torrents as much as i used to anymore

If you take the .torrent of the end of the links on that page it will just download the actual patch file.
