New cpu got here today, no change. Going to a friend's on Saturday to use 1 of his pc's to test.

My guess is your ram is dead and has possibly corrupted your bios in the process of dying. I would try each stick one by one and possibly even a new kit before doing anything else.

So despite the tests a psu from a friend fired up straight away.... New one should be here today.

Seems Glasius's issue was identical to mine.
