Took me over an hour to strip it down, why laptop manufacturers don't use filters or make it easier to clean the fan is beyond me. :/

No filter because airflow is at a premium anyway, and they don't make them easy to clean because they want them to overheat and break so you go out and buy a new one. :)

The EU should step in here and make it mandatory that either filters are used or the fan can be cleaned. There must be millions of laptops sitting in cupboards or in landfill with nothing wrong with them apart from being full of fluff.

Sorry but LOL.

I perfectly understand why it's not in the interest of any of the computer manufacturers having their hardware last for years, the make the effort to put in little doors to get to the RAM & HDD, they should make the fan accessible without having to strip it down to the motherboard.

I should design a laptop. :)
