Hi all, I have a 308 1.6 HDi mk1 facelift and I have had the clutch replaced about a couple of months ago and now I am getting an annoying squealing noise coming from the bell housing in neutral and drive. I believe this is down to the release bearing but that surely would have been replaced
If i slightly press the clutch pedal down about 2mm the noise goes completely. I gather there is nothing I can do other than pay for the work to be done again?
I cannot adjust the clutch due to it being an hydraulic.

I'd approach the place that did the work (couple of months? Should be under warranty)... Does sound like a faulty part - probably the release bearing as you mentioned.

I were thinking about going back and asking about the noise. When dropping the car off and almost a day later they rang me up to say the clutch kit is wrong and they couldn't get the correct parts in until the following Monday, so as I required the car back for Monday. I get on the bus and go to the nearest euro car parts and get a clutch kit for them to fit.
They could just turn round and say well you brought your own parts and fob me off.

Can't expect them to warranty parts you didn't buy from them at the end of the day.
This is why a lot of garages won't fit customer supplied parts because it then becomes a "who's problem is it?" When something goes wrong.

Exactly why we won’t fit customer supplied parts, especially clutch kits.
Euro car parts sell some utter garbage replacement parts, and their Starline products should be avoided at all costs.
What was the make of clutch you bought?

In that case you're probably right.

School fees unfortunately...
