I think there must be a virus on my computer, what must I do?

I just googled both of those files and there's no evidence to show that either of them is spyware. Besides, it's not really a good idea to delete random files from your Windows folder if you don't know what they are, unless you enjoy reinstalling Windows

Does the computer get slow download speeds when browsing/downloading actual files, as opposed to just on a speed test? Posting the HijackThis log would be a lot more useful than deleting random stuff.

Copy and paste the hijacthislog into this webpage and click the "Analayze" button http://hijackthis.de/

Then run hijackthis again and tick everything that webpage tells you is dangerous and click "Fix" in hijackthis.

I have done this, and the site did not show anything as dangerous. They were all safe and very safe. Does this mean that there is no virus then?

Many thanks in advance

More than likely no virus if someone actually replied to your log.

In which case do what others have recommended earlier on in the thread. Such as trying drivers, cables etc.

Can you try the comp where the other one is? You can rule out if it is infact the computer or not then.

you can do this:

1. Run full scan again or try free online scanner from trend micro or bitdefender or kaspersky or eset and deleted all infected files.
2. repair your system using windows cd , that wont lose your data and file in my document and this will replace the infected system files
3. reinstall your network card driver , modem and any hardware related to your internet connection.

ok cioa!

If you are really concerned that your PC is infected and you can't find any evidence then i would suggest you do a Format of your Hard drive and re-install Windows.
