I Tunes question

Hi all.

I have just installed i tunes on a new build. Windows 7 64bit.

Now, when i sync my ipod classic with around 40gb of songs on, will i tunes wipe my ipod? or will i tunes transfer the tracks from my ipod to i tunes?

It'll ask you if you want to transfer any songs you've bought that are on the classic, all others will be wiped.

If you need to copy music off of an iPod I always found sharepod quite good

Does sharepod allow you to backup the music on your itouch to the pc?

I wouldn't think so, as the touch/phone don't show up as removable storage in windows. The program basically just uses the ipod index file to rename the mp3s as it takes them off the ipod. If you look through the file system on a normal ipod all the mp3s are available but they all have indexed names like a12d4x.mp3 etc
