I use Ubuntu but have the Kubuntu login screen??

I must have changed something in error - but how can i get back to the Ubuntu boot and login screens? - I miss all that gentle brown colour

sudo dpkg-reconfigure gdm

couldn't find anything in settings so tried this which worked - thanks

however my GRUB screen still says Kubuntu - how do i change that?

Look for Kubuntu and simply delete the K.

Thanks Scythe - but menu.lst already has Ubuntu
i think i somehow changed it through Synaptic (maybe uninstalled something?) but i dunno what it might be called to try a reinstall
