Hey all, I'm wanting to pick up a new set of headphones. I've had these Sennheiser HD 650's for the past 3 years and they're fantastic.

But i want some headphones with a bit more bass specifically for fps gaming etc.

Budget is around £500 i already have a DAC that powers the HD 650's. I've heard people say just go for gaming specific headphones but i aren't 100%.

I just feel as if these HD 650's aren't bass heavy at all.

Thanks :)

If your after more bass you could look into either DT770's or Philips Fidelio X2 both are on the lower end of your budget.

I've had a set of beyerdynamic headphones before, they were great and lasted me a couple of years. Never touched Philips but after reading some reviews they also seem great.

Can't fault the DT770 had them for 3 year and still sound good, enough bass for me without blowing my ears out and I use them for film, music and gaming. The Philips are really bass heavy to the point it might be overbearing for some people.

+1 on the dt770, get the 250ohms version if you have an amp to power them. If not the 80 are still good. Avoid the 32 IMO.

I'm currently looking at the DT 770 250ohm seems to have great reviews for it's price. I've just stumbled across the T70 aswel just looking at reviews for them.

Take a look at the hifi man He400 (a few variants)
Being planar rather than dynamic drivers they're awesome for detail/directional whoring in games.
Basically sennheiser details without the "veil" over the bass.
