I want better audio quality.. Options please

I really admire my music more than anything. I have a large collection of mp3 music and I want to get the very best audio clarity from it.

Now, I have a Creative Audigy 2 ZS and I am wondering if these XFi things are really worth the yap you hear about them

How much better if any would a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Music - OEM be in place of what I have.

Now, I have been listening to my music for many years through the Cambridge Soundworks DTT3500 Digital system. Is there a lot better than this availiable for a reasonable price.

Ooh I dont know. a lot are downloaded mp3s but more recent are cd rips via itunes etc.

rips are consideriably higher like 1211k or something

Well I live at home with my parents and until I move into my own place I am not looking for anything that will blow the socks off you. I do personally feel that it might not be the sound card suffering but as you all agree, the speakers. I only have playback through the central speaker as the others are so bad I think blasted out headphones would be better. Its suppose to be a 5.1 system but I have hardly set it up as one and would be quite happy to just have the same high quality audio playing out of just two speakers really
