i have the megaworks 250d 2.1 speakers and am looking to upgrade.

the sub on these i find is terrible in dvd's etc.

i dont see the point in 5.1 or 7.1 so i'm after a good set of 2 speakers.

i turn the sub down to nill on these speakers, rumble is crap imo.

i have looked at these:

Creative Gigaworks T20 2.0 Speaker System - Retail (SP-069-CL)

any good? or is there better ones for the money? will pay more but like the fact there's no sub with these.

needs to be easy to set up please.

cheers lads

I use the Logitech Z2300 set with an X-Fi extreme music card....pretty awsome...and seriously loud!

dont suppose you have heard the megaworks? how do they compare..?

these are load but i like clarity. not saying these are bad , but the sub is hardly used cause it's abit crap.

Budget?

Look into Hi-Fi. You will not be disappointed. A set of stereo speakers and an amp will blow any PC setup out of the water.

how much would a set cost me? are they easy to set up?

also i want it to be as compact as possible.

If the difference between the 2.1 Megaworks and 2.0 Gigaworks is similar to the difference between the 5.1 Megaworks and the 5.1 Gigaworks, then it probably isn't the best way forward. Neither is the Logitech. The Gigas are very nice, but so are the Megas.. I suspect that you will need to go hi-fi really for the next step up. Or nice headphones.

not heard the gigaworks, but was only thinking of these new 2.0 ones because of the fact there's no sub and they are supposed to have a good range.

hifi might be a little big for on my desk?

headphones i'm not into , dont really like them on.

thankyou all for your help, keep up the good work.

toxic mate, i was talking about my sub on the megaworks....

thanks for the help people, still not surewhat to get, have read many reviews.

thankyou very much all for your help , will consider hifi setup, like the jml ones you linked me to .

it's a pity you have to have an amp, would be ideal without. what about the 2.0 set on overclockers by creative, will this be crap?

tbh my speakers are considered good for pc ones , but i just fancy some with better range, like the lack of sub on the creative 2.0 ones..

how much of a difference will i get from them jml speakers conpared to mine?

better in everything?
