i want to blow up this pic...help

Erfurt in Germany, one of more catholic regions in the country so suggesting french wasn't that far off. :)
Let us know how you get on rossyl. I'd also like to know what you think of the service and print from Photobox, I'm considering getting some large prints done.

so which photo shall i use?

whichever you think is the best one! I personally prefer mine as the others have a green tinge throughout (this is easily fixed with colour balance if the other chaps wanted to change their pics)....

I would pic my 2nd attempt.... but i'm biased hehe :)

My take on howell80's version of this - USM on the main building, and used a gaussian blur selectively on the sky to reduce noise. Only the foreground, and a little of the noise on the building to sort out now...

hey thanks.

I've got to say guys i'm shocked with all the help, and feel really bad choosing! But I do think this one is the ebst so far. seems the most natural.

However, any reason why the file is soo small? Have you saved it and reduced the jpeg quality?

If you wou;dn't mind posting the full quality, lossless pic I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks soo much guys for all your help. And i will get back to you on Photobox.

There's no reason to have the JPEG quality above 85% on a pic that noisy, it just wouldn't make any real difference. Open it up next to the larger files, I bet this one is no less sharp for the smaller file size.

EDIT: I gave it one more go, if this is of any use:

photobox were excellent.

Next day delivery, very well packaged, and £2.50 for a A4 print.

I go them printed matt.

The image looks good, better than on PC, but a little blurry prob due to all the alterations. The other pic I had printed looks lovely. Good quality print.

Thanks again everyone for all the help.
