Hi there, please can you help me out with your vast knowledge on projector screens.

I have a projector which I bought of my friend 2nd hand and I've had it for 2 years now and I love it, its like having a cinema in my bedroom, but for the past two years I've had it projected on to my bedroom wall and I started to think maybe the quality wasnt as good because of that reason and because I've never used a projector screen, so I wanted to ask some questions about projector screens.

I've looked around on various websites, and ebay seems to be the cheapest, coz when you go to websites that only sell projector screens they seem to range from £100 to £300 and I've seen em on ebay for as little as £45.

When I've read though they talk a lot about quality and something called "matte white" and HD and 1.1 contrast etc, but I dont know what any of that means.

I measured my projection on my wall diagnally and it measured 100" so thats 2.54 meters diagnal.

So I really need help and advice on knowing how to look what spec is good for a projector screen. I dont want electric one, I just want manual, coz I want one cheap as possible, I'm hoping to get one for around £50 but I'll go as high as £100 if need be.

Please help, thanks in advance:rolleyes:

EDIT: This is the one I'm looking at:
===2.5M 4.3 MANUAL PROJECTOR PROJECTION SCREEN SCREENS===

I'm not a fan of glass beaded screens - they sparkle in bright scenes. I'd rather paint a square on the wall than use a cheap screen - either a grey mix (check out black widow on avforums.com) or a white (Dulux light and space white lumitec is nice and bright). I actually prefer the latter over screens that have cost £400+

Hi mate Ive used a lot of screens with work and at home and I think unless your lucky and get a 1k screen for £150 ish then your best off with an optoma £100 screen off ebay.

I just got one brand new for £70 posted luckily, you either spend a lot or not a lot but dont go with a 0 brand screen
