I have a sound card which has a line in which would only appear to have mono input.
It also has a microphone input which is stereo.
I can't get my hifi to connect to the stereo microphone socket (it will plug in but is noisey buzzy). I can connect it to the line in socket but only in mono.
What sound card would you recommend or other piece of hardware ?
I'm using audacity software.

Just using a 2x phono to 1x 3.5mm 'headphone' jack into the line-in port.
