Hi All,

I'm looking to enhance my gaming experience and put together a triplehead2go set up.

Currently I have a Dell 2407 and a Samsung 191T, so I was going to get rid of the samsung and buy two more 2407's from the Members Market.

But what has got me thinking is that even second hand the 2407's are £200+ and currently overclockers are selling new Acer 23inch monitors for £140inc VAT.

Now that works out a lot cheaper than the Dell second hand route.

The major difference I can see is that a) the ACERs are 23inch screens and b) they only support 1920*1080 rather than 1920*1200 that my Dell supports.

Anybody have any advice on which path I should take?

a) spend the extra dosh on the second hand dell 2407
b) get the Acers
c) get another brand of 24inch 1920*1200 screens.

Cheers for any help

Taff

you might want good viewing angle if you're doing triple display setup.. so If you're happy with the Dell 2407WFP, then get more of it.

1920x1080 doesn't really let you view as much texts as I would really want, but thats just me. Tbh, I dunno why 16:9 ever came to PC market since the monitors height is more important for a PC for reading docs, browsing etc. than having no black bars for perfect 16:9 movies which are quite rare anyways.

I take it you know that the digital TH2G only supports 3 monitors up to 1680x1050 resolution each? You'd have to run 24" screens at that res unless you want to stretch the image. I think most people use 22's with them.
