I currently have 24" monitor, res 1920x1200.
I want bigger screen.
Straight forward (but pricey) option would be to get bigger kick ass monitor, but that would mean higher optimum resolution, and i can not upgrade to SLI/Xfire options, Ati 5870 needs to tie me over at least till 7xxx series is out.
Second obvious choice is to get for example 40" Lcd telly.
In full HD it will still let me keep my 1900 x 1200 resolution at much larger panel, problem solved, or is it?
What are downsides, if any, with using LCD tv for gaming and other standard PC usage?
Are there any brands/types of the tellies i should stay away from?
