I want to go interrailing next year across Europe

I am only 20 years old and if I dont do it soon I never will. I am in a job where I can easily take a month off work.

I have a few questions though for you guys.

I want to go early Summer next year. I don't no whether I will be going on my own or with a friend.

As I am not very good with money (spend it easily), can I buy my train pass now? If I was to buy it now it will motivate me to save.

But I don't no what sort of ticket I need? It take it the pass is the most expensive thing that's why I said it.

If I am going for a month, roughly how much money will I need? I was thinking £1500?

has anyone done interrailing?

I am really just after as much advice as possible, maybe a few links to some other sites.

I've done it for 5 weeks twice. I spent about £1500 each time, all in. But prices have risen and I'd probably reccomend a little more these days.

If you need info about railing in Europe see; seat61.com, more info than you could ever use.

First things first, work out where you want to go, a rough outline will work. Then you can work out the cheapest way.

I went out with a Eurail pass this summer, tonnes of fun.

A friend of mine went on an interrail trip across Europe a couple of years ago.

I think she got her pass from here:
