I want wifi downstairs in my home

Hey guys, im not high up on my computer technology, im just wondering what i need to get wifi in my home downstairs, i use my router upstairs for pc use and my sister uses it for her laptop in her room upstairs, however the signal is very bad downstairs, and we are looking for wifi down there for an ipad tablet use later this year any help on what i need would be greatly appreciated, thanks !

Power line adapters probably easiest way.

Are you willing to run a network cable from the router to downstairs so you can connect an access point?

budget would be no problem, like a cat 5e cable you mean ? i have 2 phone points in the living room

What router have you got? If it’s ancient I’d just replace it.

im with vodafone broadband so it s their official router, but i have a few spare routers, i have a netgear n600

A cheap and cheerful option is to reconfigure one of the spare routers as an access point (not very complicated). You'd need to connect it back to the main router using a network cable or Powerline adapters.
