I was an idiot, parking on a clearway,NIP.

So I made an error in parking, parked up in a space in amongst a long line of parked cars. Turns out it was a clearway and on return we've all been ticketed by the police. Received the NIP today.

I was expecting this was just a fine but the NIP has me wondering if this is going to be points now as well. Anyone have any knowledge of how common this is?

There was a sign up but it's 2 miles from where I parked. Really frustrated with myself for not thinking a bit more about where I was parking/just seeing the space and going for it.

call the company say it was an emergency.

It's from the police. They had a few of the cars towed!

I park on them quite often for attending emergencies, and whilst mine get cancelled during the process I've not seen any suggestion of points

Hope so! I was just expecting a fine in the post but receiving the NIP made me wonder if it was going to be more than that.
