Late Last night i was in my local Asda... just bought some milk & bread went to one of these "please put your items in the bagging area" machines to pay.

Whacked in a £20 expected to get £17.00 change in the form of 1x £10 note 1x £5 note & 2x £1 coins Yea?

Well what I got was 2 x £10 notes 2x 5 notes & 2x £2 coins - it had given me double change.....

Like I said it was late about 11:30 ish so was empty with customers just all the usual self stackers busy, No staff on the self serve checkouts watching for the red lights for customers that need assitance.

So i grabbed a packet of chewing gum put it through the same checkout and paid with one of the £10 notes behold it gave 2x £5 notes & 4x £2 coins 2x 50p's 2x 5p's & 2x 1p's

double change again.....
WOW Dare i risk keep going until the machine is empty? or until i got busted No I didn't but I went to my car told the misses that was waiting in the car
I sent her in with another £20 note and told her buy somthing small & use that machine she got some tooth paste used the same machine and got double change too.....

I know it's kinda theft - but it makes a change in this Increasing world of price hikes & Asda being so profitable for the little guy to win for once.

The only other time i have been lucky at one of these machines is when someone has left there change in the bottom despenser I did find a £10 note in one a few months ago.....felt sorry for the poor sod who left that there.

Good, they deserve it for buying such **** self-service machines.

The only good ones I've found were in the Tesco Extra in Sheffield. The ones we have in Morrisons here are horrendous, I hope they start spitting out £20 notes.

Agreed, there is only one time I have used a morrisons self service till without the assistant light going off. Highly annoying. Tesco ones are a lot better.

You realize that when Asda notice the discrepancy they are going to go straight to the CCTV, don't you?

There mistake not mine, I took slight advantage of getting the extra chewing gum but i could argue that I forgot and dicided i wanted some after i paid for the bread and milk, Sending the misses in aswell but to Asda this is a new customer......

I'm not going back in there for bit anyhow just incase my mug is on the staff room wall LOL
