Would you clever chaps cast your eye on my potential build and highlight any glaring errors/omissions.
I want a fairly future proof system for gaming and general use.

I have a monitor, HDD and optical drive.

I also have a Corsair HX 520w ATX modular sli compliant PSU (CMPSU 520HXUK) from my previous build which I hope will be ok.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 570 OC WINDFORCE 3X 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card **Supplied with FREE Batman: Arkham City PC game** [GV-N570OC-13I V2.0]

Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail [BX80623I52500K]

Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive [CT128M4SSD2]

Corsair Graphite 600T Midi Tower Case - Limited Edition White [CC600TWM-WHT]

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-Bit - OEM (GFC-02050) [GFC-00599]

Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C10 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT51264BA160A) [BL2KIT51264BA160A]

Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940/AM2/AM2+/AM3/LGA775/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA1366)

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum :)

The psu would run that system, but I would like to see a little more.

Thanks for the replies. I have decided to change the ram to:

Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9) [CMX8GX3M2A1600C9]

I am also wondering if the motherboard is a bit of OTT and perhaps I could save a bob or two with:

Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD4 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard [GA-Z68XP-UD4]

Also do I need a CPU cooler if I buy a retail processor. I wont be overclocking that much.

You dont need an aftermarket cooler, the stock one will do ok upto 4Ghz.

That Gigabyte is a damn fine board and well built too, but also look at the UD3 thats on special offer, it doesn't differ from the UD4 that much.
