I would like to pair a 4K 32" OLED monitor with my MiniLED, just for gaming. Need advice

Hello everyone. Currently, I have an Innocn 32M2V, which I bought both for its competitive price and because I think it's the best compromise for work and gaming without having to worry about image retention and stuff like that. It's a fantastic monitor, but I'm planning to buy a 5090, and the little voice in my head is telling me to get an OLED to fully enjoy it. I've done some research, and the only one that's really caught my attention so far is the ASUS ROG PG32UCDM, which I could get for €1100.
Can someone who owns this monitor tell me if it's actually worth it? Also, do you think it's worth maintaining a dual-monitor setup (where I'd use the MiniLED exclusively for work and browsing), or should I even consider selling the MiniLED and sticking to just the OLED, hoping it won't have any issues in the long run? Keep in mind that I work as a software developer, so I often have static content displayed on the screen for long periods. Thanks in advance!

Hey. Me from the 50 series thread. This is the HP monitor I referred to. I've not paid close attention to any reviews, but it has the same panel as every other 32in 4k 240hz QD OLED monitor, so will be fine. Unclear about HP's burn-in warranty cover, however. The price is very appealing.

Edit: just seen your location, lmao. Sorry. The ASUS for 1100 EUR seems pretty good value. Hard to beat that tbh.

If you're getting a 5090 try and wait for a DP 2.1 monitor if you care about higher bandwidth and no dsc.

Otherwise

MPG 321URX (firmware fix coming for brighter settings) 322URX is coming very soon.. so don't know if you want to wait or not

Asus PG32UCDM

AORUS FO32U2P DP 2.1 but not as bright as Asus apparently

You might as well keep both monitors if you can afford it,

That 322URX looks good. Uggghhh I don't know... maybe I'll wait. DP 2.1 monitors seem to be quite a bit more expensive though

Also it may be worth checking ebay or 2nd hand sites in your country/fb marketplace

you may find one of these monitors going for a couple of hundred Euro's less than brand new.

Also your Innocn 32M2V would be fine to use anyway in the interim :)

Aren't 4K 240Hz DP 2.1 OLED monitors a new thing (apart from the FO32U2P)? I don't think I can find any used ones yet. Besides, I'm not sure I’d trust buying such a monitor second-hand, to be honest...

Yeah they'll all be new models coming out except the FO32U2P :)

It's worth waiting if you have the patience, but understandable if you don't at the same time.

MSI should be out in the next month at least in EU.

No I’m not in a hurry, at this point I’ll just wait. I don’t see much point in spending money on a 5090 and buying a new monitor with DP 1.4. Thanks a lot for the suggestions, especially since I had completely forgotten that the 5090 supports 2.1 lmao

I forgot about the 322URX. Worth noting the price of this monitor has only been announced in USD I believe, and it was a substantial jump over MSI's previous 32in 4k 240hz OLEDs. EU pricing was already awful vs the States (1300-1400 EUR vs $950). I. recall the 322URX being $1300, so let's see what the EU pricing is.... But you're right, the first gen OLEDs are starting to to see some sizeable discounts now.

On the LDLC store, it will be available starting February 19th and I could get it for about €1200 through a friend of mine who deducts the VAT for me. At this point, I’ll just wait... it seems like the perfect monitor for the 5090

That's a very good price for it imo. I'd go for that tbh. If you a 50 series GPU you may as well buy a DP2.1 monitor.
