I asked in 2 'Game' stores today and no-one knew what was going on, basically didn't know what cable I needed.

I don't need the VGA one as my monitor is not a 15pin thingy its a DVI connection.

Any ideas?

Easy peasy, you need a VGA to DVI converter.

I have an LG L1710B

Anyone able to check if I could use it with the 360?

I have the same monitor - it works fine, apart from some games don't put the black borders in correctly, instead the 16:9 image is stretched to fill the 5:4 display. In PGR3 this can be remedied by setting the output of the 360 to 1024x768, but in Tiger Woods there seems to be no solution.

(Which sucks, as I sometimes have to play on my monitor when my girlfriend wants to watch TV. 17" monitor doesn't cut it compared to 32" of widescreen HD goodness.)

Yeah i was considering using it on my 17" TFT, but decided to keep it on my 28" Widescreen Tv instead as it looks great, even through the comp to scart that you get with the Premium pack, picking up the Joytech Advanced SCART cable next week so it will look even better.

I know the picture quality would be much better on my TFT, but as said id still rather play it on my big 28" Widescreen than a small 17". :)

so is the LG me and you have AdWright actually HD, or is it not? Is it true HD? I would have thought it is because it's higher than the standard TV resolution, or is there more to it than that?

HD is just a resolution at the end of . PCs have always had a HD resolution of gaming for the last decade anyway.

True HD, ideally, for 720i/p (1280x720) and 1080i/p (1920x1080), you need a widescreen display, 16:9, but you're getting that through the VGA cable.

Exactly.
