I would so pay for this MMO!

MMO's are such a risky proposition as far as I can. So many subscription MMOs fail and have to go FTP, while in some cases this works out such as DC Universe whose monthly taking went up when they went FTP but so many MMOs fail. The problem might be every MMO hopes to be as big as WoW. The only recent sub MMO that seemed to start well was RIFT which had decent reviews but I have no idea how it is doing now.

I am pretty sure Star wars will do well, i can see them easily getting the 500,000 subscriptions they need to break even. I have not played it yet but will give it a whirl for a few months and see what the end game is like. I am worried it will be to much like the current WoW which is too dumbed down for my taste.

My biggest hope if for The Secret World which Tazir noted. I really like the premise of this MMO set in a modern environment part based on myth and legend we all know about. But it is Funcom and they seriously screwed up the release of Age of Conan which is a shame as it was seriously good until you hit level 20 and the content fizzled out.
