Hi,

has anyone managed to get an i1 display 2 to work properly with windows 8.1? I have a fresh 8.1 install and it doesn't seem to install the puc driver. The program software installs and runs fine just no drivers.

My older windows 8 pc seemed to work ok with it so kinda weird 8.1 doesn't install it.

Hmm, I only have windows 8 and it worked but I had to getti driver from the website.

Would be interested to know if this is a general issue.

I've tried a few things now including disabling driver signing but no luck. I think when installing on W8 it pops up the driver warning box saying the drivers aren't properly signed for windows, it doesn't do this in W8.1.

Haven't been able to fix this so I've ended up getting a new display pro, hopefully they keep support for 4-5 years meaning it's pretty cheap over time.

I installed my i1 display 2 on my Windows 8.1 system yesterday and did a monitor calibration, there wasn't any problems at all, didn't have to disable driver signing or anything like that.

hmm really strange it just wouldn't install the driver so I tried the pro that arrived today with my 2 work monitors. It's nicer software to use with more features now. If the monitor supports ADC it will set contrast/brightness/rgb automatically as well and is faster to run.

The two monitors aren't the best but it's still managed to make them look closers than I'd had them before with the eye1display2.

So if you're in the market for a new unit the pro seems really nice but probably not worth upgrading otherwise.
