Hi Guys,
I'm trying to find my highest Base Clock (BCLK) and have hit upon a brick wall and wondered if anyone can give me some good tips![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/Normal/smile.gif)
System
Following instructions from - http://www.masterslair.com/determining-your-maximum-bclk-base-clock-frequency-i7-i5-i3 I can boot into Windows and run SuperPi and Prime95 with the following settings -
I can also boot into Windows running memory overclock OR CPU overclock combined with the BCLK but NOT both at the same time. With both overclocks combined the computer fails to boot and reverts to safe settings.
CPU Overclock
To get the computer to boot windows with memory overclock I had to increase VCCIO and VRAM voltages.
DRAM Overclock
I managed to get it to boot with both overclocks once by dropping the CPU multi to x38 and increasing VRAM to 1.6705.
I didn't touch VCCSA as most things I have read on t'internet said that this doesn't help ?!?
Have tried increasing VCCIO to 1.25 and VRAM to 1.70 but still no joy.... ideas on a postcard please![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/Normal/smile.gif)
I'm aiming to try and hit BCLK 10360 or 10600 if possible....

Following instructions from - http://www.masterslair.com/determining-your-maximum-bclk-base-clock-frequency-i7-i5-i3 I can boot into Windows and run SuperPi and Prime95 with the following settings -
- BCLK = 10300
- CPU Ratio = 16x
- Memory Speed = 800MHz
- Memory Timings = Auto
- VCCIO = 1.07
- VCCSA = 0.95
- VCore = 1.20
- VRAM = 1.348
I can also boot into Windows running memory overclock OR CPU overclock combined with the BCLK but NOT both at the same time. With both overclocks combined the computer fails to boot and reverts to safe settings.
CPU Overclock
- CPU Ratio = 39x
- VCCIO = 1.07
- VCore = 1.25
To get the computer to boot windows with memory overclock I had to increase VCCIO and VRAM voltages.
DRAM Overclock
- Memory Speed = 2196MHz
- DRAM Timing = 11, 11, 11, 28, 1T
- VCCIO = 1.19
- VRAM = 1.65
I managed to get it to boot with both overclocks once by dropping the CPU multi to x38 and increasing VRAM to 1.6705.
