Hi all,

I have an old (1 year) Titan Xenomorph, which has an i3 530 @ 4.20Ghz

If I were to buy this memory, would I be able to achieve the same OC?

I am running Windows 7 Home Edition - all 8GB would be useable, correct? I just want this PC to have a bit more oomph, both in multitasking, gaming and more for extracting/moving large (2GB+ files). Would this be a wise purchase for £30?

Current spec:

CPU
i3 530
200mhz x 21 multiplier
1.36v

Memory
4GB
800Mhz DRAM Freq
9-9-9-28

Mobo
Gigabyte H55M-UD2H

Thanks for the replies. I will be removing the current 4GB and replacing it with the 8GB Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey.

Once I physically change the RAM sticks, won't the BIOS reset and the overclock be gone?

Yes Win74 64bit.

I don't think so, but to be on the afe side, go into your bios before your swap the ram and save the settings to a profile, that way, if it does reset, you can just load the profile again and all should be good.:)

Cheers bud, ordering now! Hopefully dropping this £30 will keep this PC going for a bit longer (before performance makes me upgrade the entire system!)

Is there any drawback of having:

2x4GB HyperX Genesis Grey 1600MHZ 9-9-9-27
and
1x2GB Corsair XMS3 1600MHZ 9-9-9-24

System total of 10GB, running at:

Seems to be running at 9-9-9-28?

Thanks!
