which would be better for office stuff/web not gaming? Excel, powerpoint. Things like that. The i3 is skylake but only dual core, the AMD is hex-core.
 
Wouldn't make much of a difference for that usage. The i3's IGP will be better than the AMD's IGP on the motherboard however.
 
I would go with the i3 for that usage. Cooler and quieter and should be faster in most cases. I have a IB i3 running completely passively under a corsair cooler without the fan for my wife's work pc.
