i3 Build - Recommendations Please

I'm building a new system for a friend based around the i3. I'm thinking i may as well go with the 1150 as there's very little price difference. The PC will be based on a Cooler Master Elite 361 and will be used for general computing and no heavy gaming is required.
Can anyone please give me some advice on the best bang per buck combo?

Ok Cheers. Whats the difference between the A8 and the FX? I've totally lost touch with AMD.
