What is the quality of the i3 CPU graphics? I am used to using onboard graphics and was wondering what it is like compared to the 'other' onboard graphics available today? Is there a comparison chart?

I am thinking of buying an i3 CPU, mobo and ram.

They are not done by the cpu but by the board themselves, look at the borads for the i3 cpu, they chould tell you what onboard GPU they have.

i3s have integarted GPUs.

They are similar to the GMA 4 series only faster and are seen to be competitive with AMD/nvidia solutions. With that said AMD/nvidia usually perform better in games and have better drivers than Intel.

As has been said already, the new i3 CPUs have a GPU die right next to the CPU die. It's a CPU and GPU on one piece of silicon.

Ah ok cool didnt know this, should have read up on it before posting :p

Fine for Blu-Ray and older games.

Plays Torchlight fine :D Quake 3 and the UT games are a breeze.

Just don't try anything modern!
