Anyone going to i40? I'm thinking about it! It would be my first time. Would you say it's worth going if you aren't a hardcore gamer?

Yup as Lyon said TFU are going up, tbh pretty much 99% of the TFU clan are from OCUK so you'd be welcome to sit with us if you could get a seat, you'd have to ask the admin there if there is a slot next to us.

I knowTFA are going up aswel!

+1 to that.

Tag along with us if you want. We all know each other pretty well but a few drinks and what not sure you'll settle in.

;)

Apparently 40 or so tickets left and I would be going with a few friends and my brother and sitting in the TF2 area (not that I play TF2)

theres no spare seats near us on the planner unfortunately but feel free to come over and say hi/ kick our ass and gloat ingame/ buy us a pint :)

Any tips for a first time goer?

TFA are mostly OcUKers and we'll be there too. Come over and say hi if you want. :)

As for tips...

We did a thread on this on our forums. There's some stuff on multiplay as well you might want to read.

http://iseries.multiplay.co.uk/i40/event-guide/what-to-bring/

Some stuff from the multiplay site.

For check in
*Your booking reference or printed ticket with barcode
*Photo ID such as a passport or drivers licence

Non-PC bits
* A tent (if your camping)
* Sleeping bag with airbed/campbed etc
* Towel
* Wash kit
* Pillow
* Torch (for finding your tent in the dark!)
* Food + soft drinks (no alcohol, there is a bar on-site)
* Mobile phone charger
* Camera

PC bits
* Your PC or XBox (base unit / tower / shuttle )
* Monitor
* VGA / DVI cable for monitor
* Keyboard + Mouse
* Mouse mat
* Headphones (no speakers allowed!)
* Power cables for both your PC and monitor
* A four-way power strip
* All your games + CD Keys!
* Windows + antivirus reinstall CDs (just in case!)
* Gamepad if you use one.

And some extras that some of our people recommended for our first timers. :)

Earplugs. Cannot stress this enough.
Water – Dont be drinking red bull all weekend. You'll have a caffine fit and look like a **** spazzing out on the floor fitting while everyone laughs at you. H2O and lots of it will keep you hydrated and not feeling like death
Lemship Max Strength Cold and Flu – pills, sachets or whatever, you'll want to take 2 a day to stave off the LAN plague. 2500 people, lots with not the best hygiene = germs are everywhere.
Kengsington Locks – thieving **** will have your gear away. Lock it up before you leave your PC at night. Just thread the lock's through a PCI-E expansion slot or two and then through the legs of the desk.

*BIOS and windows password – If people want to mess with your PC they don't need your windows password to do it.
*Replace thumbscrews with real screws – thumbscrews make it quick and simple to get into your case, great for home, not for lan.
*Take little stuff out to the car/tent at night. Keyboard/headphones/mouse. Either that or make sure they're not easy to pinch (cable tie them to the desk or something).
*Remember to lock your PC when you get up and walk away – Winkey + L. It's that easy.
*Lock stuff you don't need in a car. If you haven't got a car, just ask someone that has and I'm sure they'll let you store it in theirs.

Other things you might want to do before you leave…

*Make sure you're PC is in good health, if you know something is wrong, fix it before hand – Don't wait for it to fail at LAN.
