Hi guys,

I want to upgrade both my CPU and my MB at the same time (I only have an mATX MB). I want to get one of the new IvyBridge processors and preferably an i7 as I've recently started to do a lot of video editing and rendering due to the success of my YouTube channel as of late. I figured that the best option would be to buy one of the OC'ed bundles here on Overclockers. I have enough money to buy the i7 3850 (or whatever number it is, I can't exactly remember) from the SPEC-OPS line but I figured I'd ask here. I want to see considerable improvement but I would like to avoid spending money that I do not need to spend.

Cheers for the help,

Best Regards,

Hazz3r

Many Sandy bridge motherboards support Ivy Bridge processors after a BIOS update. Check the CPU support list on the motherboard manufacturer's website. Ensure that you update the BIOS before replacing the CPU.

Sorry, if I didn't make it clear, I want a new one. I don't have enough PCIe slots on my current MB and am looking for a sizeable increase in processing power.

MB: Gigabyte H67M-UD2H-B3 Intel H67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge) ** B3 REVISION **
