So after much thought i have decided that i will save the little extra and get the following...

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor [BX80623I52500K]

Gigabyte Z68A-D3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit

...i will be running this with this psu i purchased yesterday...

XFX Pro 550W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply

...and with my current GPU which is..

EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti FPB 1GB GDDR5 HDMI Graphics Card PCI-E

... i have 2 300gb SATA Drives and a dvd rw drive already on main tower which i shall keep also (for now).

This will be mainly for playing games and use of solidworks and CAD based programs surfing the web and general use.

please advice me as to your opinions and if the build seems stable and good?

thanks in advance.

Didn't mean to put you off the board or anything it's just I don't know much about the board so I couldn't really comment on it :D.

oh i see.. well you still probably know more about the board than me then :P

i think it is similar to the MSI one i linked im sure it wouldnt worry me to much unless theres any major downside to that board compared to another in the same price range.
